The Citywire Gender Diversity Awards are back for another year, rewarding fund management groups that have made progress on getting more women into fund management.

To draw up the shortlist, we used data from this year’s Alpha Female report. Citywire looked at the percentage of female managers at each group and turnover rates for men and women over the past 10 years.

Where relevant, we have also included tenure, which measures the average number of years the fund manager has run money with the firm.
We then invited shortlisted firms to complete a questionnaire, which went beyond fund managers. It covered areas such as company-wide gender diversity practices to how gender issues are incorporated into investment decisions.
Using these responses, winners were decided by a six-strong judging panel.
