Citywire held its third Gender Diversity Awards ceremony on 7 December to recognise the progress made by fund management groups on the representation of women and gender diversity practices.
In the following slides, we reveal the winning asset management companies across seven main categories, which were then divided into sub-groups based on the number of fund managers at each company, be it 100+, 50-100 or 20-50.
To draw up the shortlist of companies, we used data from our Alpha Female report to look at the percentage of female managers at fund groups and the turnover rates of men and women over the past 10 years.
Where relevant, we have included tenure, which measures the average number of years the fund manager has run money with the firm.
A six-strong judging panel decided the winners, after looking at responses that shortlisted firms provided by answering our questionnaire.
Questions ranged from looking at company-wide gender diversity practices to how businesses incorporate gender issues into their investment decisions.
