Manager presentation dos and don’ts Plus: mixed-gender teams; sales moves
Citywire Amplify - asset management uncovered

We follow up our popular piece on salesperson dos and don’ts from October, with advice from senior fund buyers on how to get fund manager presentations right. They were eager to talk about the subject and Amplify has determined seven core messages. As well as hearing what they want from manager meetings, there are several things to avoid too.

We’ve revisited Amplify’s data on female fund managers to take a peek at who runs the most mixed-gender teams. We know such teams deliver superior risk-adjusted performance, so who runs the most of them? We have the answers.

This issue sees the return of our Equities Elite manager profiles. There are now 381 that meet Citywire’s qualifying criteria, just 3.8% of all equity managers. We speak to Schroders’ Simon Webber about his role co-managing Vanguard’s International Growth fund. Together, the funds he manages have $40bn of assets. And we have more senior sales moves from the US, UK and Asia to check up on.
